Description

Ceramic tableware is often characterised by a smooth, round surface and a symmetrical shape. Arch Tray explores the addition of a new dimension to ceramic tableware by adding shape and texture to the bottom and side of a tray. This, in order to challenge and subvert traditional tableware aesthetics. The ornaments and textures, generated through 3D printing, enhance friction and allow for a greater bodily and sensorial experience.
