Description

Borke is a series of handmade porcelain vessels. The series addresses the affinity between humans and nature and our perception of the natural. Various vessels were created to playfully question what is natural and what is artificial. In this case, the irregular shape and distinctive structure of birch wood is the metaphor for the natural world. Combined with smooth symmetrical bodies, it emphasizes the contrast to evoke an optical and haptic response to touch and to interact with the vessels.
