The C1 lounge chair is part of a range of furniture whose language of form is developed from the drawing of a single line. Its origin is a master's thesis, which involved approaching the idea of contemplation through the act of drawing. Against this background, the design is based on intuitive form finding through the act of drawing itself. The use of intuitive form to create a functional object thus leads to a symbiosis of form and function for mutual benefit.
