Description

Corteza is a thermal cork cooler, ideal for storing fresh produce. It is made using an innovative manufacturing process inspired by rotational molding. It is hollow in order to enhance the thermal qualities of the natural and durable material. The detail of the handles is borrowed from the aesthetics of leather goods and further refines the object.
This project seeks to question the way in which cork can evolve towards new typologies of objects, contemporary uses and new modes of production.
