leftover synthesis is an exploration into making better use of leftovers within the wood industry. Wood scraps that fall below a certain dimension are sorted out, burned or shredded. Contrary to fashion and color trends, whose demand is too often focused on a single species of wood, the furniture is made from various types of wood. An algorithmic tool adapts to the constantly changing shapes, which get rearranged in the form of a furniture piece and become a valuable resource again.
