Description

Nuclée was born from a meeting of cultures and know-how. On the east coast of Taiwan, the Kavalan aboriginal tribe lives from banana trees. After harvesting the fruit, each stem is cut to facilitate the growth of shoots. However, the unused flesh of these stems reveals a fascinating graphism in the light. We have developed with Kavalan people a special refining technique to stabilize this plant tissue. This "new" material is here sublimated by walnut shapes, inspired by the banana tree structure.
