Description

Varjo is a suspended luminaire that offers a unique user experience. Its shape shifting design invites to a playful interaction.
The lampshade is made up of various rings, hold in position by tensioned cables and elastic ribbons. These clamped ribbons run through a series of slots in each ring. The tension allows the user to move each ring up or down, changing its positions and by that transforming the overall shape of the lamp. In this way it is possible to create always new configurations.
