Call for entries for “ein&zwanzig” 2022: the German Design Council presents talented international designers in Milan
A unique opportunity for talented young designers: with its young talent competition “ein&zwanzig”, the German Design Council helps design students and graduates from around the world to network and boost their visibility. Anyone who would like to enter the competition can now apply at www.ein-und-zwanzig.de by submitting examples of their interior and lifestyle work. The 21 winners will be presented at an exclusive exhibition during the Salone del Mobile 2022 in Milan.
An international panel of well-known judges will choose 21 outstanding pieces of work: 20 will be awarded the title “Winner” and one will be crowned “Best of Best”. The award-winning products will then go on show from 5 to 10 April 2022 as part of the Tortona Design Week which coincides with the Salone del Mobile 2022 in Milan. In past years, the exhibition has been designed by well-known professionals including the Hamburg-based Studio Besau-Marguerre, the Danish designer Nina Bruun, and Studiopepe’s Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto.
With the competition, the German Design Council gives up-and-coming designers an opportunity to present their work to an international audience and be part of the world-renowned furniture fair. What is more, they gain access to the German Design Council’s unique network of members, allowing them to make important contacts. Previous winners have succeeded in establishing many long-term networks and collaborations in this way.
